Shoot 3: Evidence - Work Diary

Evaluation:
In this session my aim was to photograph a collection of miscellaneous items with lipstick on to show the evidence of people, I definitely succeeded my original plan as I was very happy with the photographs that I managed to take following this exact plan. In this shoot I decided to use apples, both half eaten and fresh to show evidence in an ironic way and a lolly pop with lipstick on and also a coca cola can covered in red lipstick in order to show evidence. While shooting I had some extra inspiration and decided to include some shots of makeup, the evidence of it being used by people fit with my theme really well, another addition to this shoot was the use of candles and melting wax, i used these to show the evidence of burning, this may be seen as natural evidence however the concept to my images is that it is a man made candle.

Today's Example Shots:

Progression:
Overall, I think this session/shoot was extremely successful as I set out to accomplish all my goals from the shoot before. If I could change anything about this shoot I would re-shoot it in the studio with studio lighting as lighting was my main challenge in this shoot. I would also change the angles on my candle shots as I'm not happy with the collection of four that I put together because of the difference in distance and angles. In my next shoot I am going to look more at food and makeup, and the accidental makeup marks left on other types of food and drink for example sandwiches and coffee cups rather than apples and coke cans.
